POSITION: Shift Manager

 

JOB START DATE: As soon as possible

HOURS: 40 Hours/Week

SALARY: $14.42/hour

BENEFITS: Medical and Dental benefits

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To effectively manage the operations of a restaurant on a day-to-day basis, within the policies and guidelines of the company, ensuring customer satisfaction, team member satisfaction/retention and profit maximization

 

The main duties include but not limited to:

Supervise, co-ordinate the activities of the staff who prepare, portion and serve food

Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

Prepare and submit reports

Establish methods to meet work schedules

Supervise, motivate and train team members on an assigned shift

Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaulate daily operations

implement operational procedures

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures 

Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, reconciliation and related forms

Respond to customer complaints

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed; participate in marketing plans and implementation

Provide input to Restaurant General Manager when preformance issues arise on any shift supervised 

Ensure staff are properly executing current promotions

Direct efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to maximize customer satisfaction 

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

Implement operational procedures

 

Experience:

1 - 2 years experience. Preferably a supervisory experience in service counter attendants and food preparers

 

Ability to supervise:

5-10 people

 

Workers Supervised: Food service counter attendants and food preparers

Languages: English
