A family in Scarborough is looking for a personal care attendant for a lady who had stroke. Attendant must speak and write English, as the lady could hardly speak. Must be at leash high school graduate; with experience for at least one year or has training in related field. She must show love, respect and responsible enough to give total care and companionship. Must be physically fit, a medical certificate is required and no criminal record as well.
Shop for food and household supplies, Provide personal care, Provide companionship, Plan therapeutic diets and menus, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, Launder clothing and household linens, Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Assist lady in water (i.e. pool), Administer medications, Administer bedside and personal care, Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Terms of employment: Monday- Friday / $15.72 an hour for 40 hours/week / 2days off Sat & Sun / Full-time employment from 8am to 12pm then 2pm to 6pm or some flexible hours
Benefits: Basic health insurance, 2 paid sick leave and 10 days vacation after one year. Will pay for airfare if applicable.
