  • Salary $19.00 / Hour for 32 to 40 Hours / Week
  • Vacancies: 1

Job requirements

Languages: English               Work Setting: Hotel

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to 2 years of experience in supervisory capacity, including hotel front desk related experience

Ability to Supervise: 11-15 people

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail

Personal Suitability: Organized, Team player, Interpersonal awareness, Judgement, Initiative, Accurate, Flexibility, Dependability, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Client focus

Specific Skills:

Assist clients/guests with special needs; Co-ordinate, assign and review work; Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work; Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments; Requisition materials and supplies; Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies; Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports; Perform same duties as workers supervised, such as Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments; Register arriving guests and assign rooms; Answer enquiries regarding hotel services and registration by letter, by telephone and in person; provide information about services available in the community and respond to guests' complaints; Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized or manual systems; Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
