Niki Design Glass is hiring (Two Position) an experienced Glazier commercial and residential for full time employment. We offer a competitive salary and benefits (performance salary review within 3 months)

Job duties:

1.       Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required

2.       Fasten glass panes into wood sashes or frames with clips, points, or moldings, adding weather seals or putty around pane edges to seal joints

3.       Measure and mark glass and cut glass using glass cutters or computerized cutter

4.       Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of building

5.       Install, fit, fabricate and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in industrial, institutional and commercial buildings

6.       Drive trucks to installation sites and load, unload and arrange glass or mirrors glass equipment, or tools onto delivery trucks

7.       Move furniture to clear work sites and cover floors or furnishings with drop cloths

8.       Install pre-assembled metal or wood frameworks for windows or doors to be fitted with glass panels, using hand tools

9.       Repair and service residential windows, commercial aluminum doors and other glass supporting structures, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealant

10.   Providing training to more junior level, less experienced workers

11.   Install backsplash, frameless railing, awning, store fronts, Curtin walls Un- supervised with a helper

12.   Grind or polish glass, smoothing edges when necessary on site

13.   Cut, assemble, fit, or attach metal-framed for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights, solariums, or other structures.

Terms of employment: Permanent - Full time, overtime, Monday to Friday 9-5:30 pm

Wage:  $25.50 per hour

Benefits package being offered:  MSP – EI - WCB – CPP – 10 day paid vacation
