Fishing Vessel Deckhands [8441]

Hours of Work: 30 hours

Salary:  $22.00/Hourly

Job Description

Main Duties:

Maintaining cleanliness of the ship

Setting and maintaining crab trap

Maintain fishing gear and other deck equipment

Load and unload supplies and material from dock or vessel

Use information VHF system & weather forecast system

Prepare & cook meals for crew member

Employment Requirements:

No educational requirements but vocational educations are beneficial

If there are no experiences, on the job training is provided

Marine Emergency Duties Certificate Required.

Commercial Fishing License Required.

We are looking for 2 fishing vessel deckhands. This job is for a capable person to work on a commercial fishing vessel. It requires early morning starts and is a labor intensive job.  Experience is an asset but training for the job will be given. You will be handling fish as they come aboard at a fast pace.  Working in rough sea conditions for journeys up to 7 days at sea may be necessary. May need to work at night.
