Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President Academic, the Dean of the Odette School of Business is responsible for the overall management of the Odette School, providing strategic and effective leadership for students, faculty, the University and the professional community. The Dean will begin during an exciting period of growth: Odette has recently expanded and updated its facilities and programs, and is undergoing faculty renewal while developing research-based graduate degrees. The Dean will be expected to lead the Odette School in articulating and effectively executing a focused strategic vision within the context of the change occurring throughout the University of Windsor and in the post-secondary education sector. The Dean will also contribute to the further development of the Faculty’s research, teaching, and academic programs while promoting innovation, teamwork, and collaboration across and within departments. By seeking out new opportunities to engage with industry and community partners and fostering a synergistic relationship between the Faculty, its students, alumni and other stakeholders, the Dean will play a central role in supporting the School and the University’s commitment to excellence.
As the ideal candidate, you bring a distinguished academic reputation and/or an impressive track record in business/industry, a record of excellence in research and teaching, and the ability to motivate and support other faculty members in their own pursuit of these endeavors. A deliberate decision maker with a passion for innovation, your collaborative strategic planning experience will facilitate your success as the new Dean, Odette School of Business. You are a hands-on, committed and collaborative leader with experience in academic administration, and your excellent fiscal and risk management skills ensure effective and efficient resource allocation.
