Your job duties will be:
Good knowledge in Indian Curries and reginal dishes.
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
Make specialty Indian breads such as Romali Roti, Parathas, Naans and Rice dishes.
Ensure compliance with Safety and Hygiene procedures while on shift.
Maintain periodical cleaning procedures of kitchen and work area.
Plan seasonal menus, as well as menus for special events and catering.
Plan menus, determine size of food portions.
Prepare order list for suppliers to deliver on time.
Cook an exclusive vegetarian dish for vegan food.
Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation.
Cooking and handling of food, Order supplies and equipment.
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,
Organize and manage buffets, banquets and outdoor catering.
Manage kitchen operations
Completion of High School
3 years or more of experience in Indian ethnic cooking (could be combined with
Written / Oral English
Your terms of employment are as follows:
Full-time permanent position
Your salary will be $17.00 per hour.
You will work up to 40 hours per week. You will be paid overtime for any hours of work
exceeding 44 hours per week. The overtime rate is $ 25.50 and you will be paid biweekly.
You will be entitled for free work meal
You will be entitled to two weeks paid vacation per year. (4% remuneration)
