Chef
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the preparation of all menu items and daily specials
  • Supervise and overlook the duties of the cooks and other kitchen staffs in a preparation of various Japanese/Korean dishes.
  • Instruct and train the cooks to prepare ingredients and materials required for cooking
  • Create new recipes and propose to management
  • Maintains work location clean and follows food safety procedure
  • Ensure proper stocking of food items and fills all necessary paperwork as needed
 
Requirements
  • 2+ years experience working in a kitchen environment for Japanese and Korean cuisine
  • Completion of secondary school
  • Is physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods
  • Able to work under pressure, produce results, handle numerous tasks at once
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people
  • Possess an interest for food preparation and working in customer service
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekend
 
Working Condition:
  • Some work activities will require overtime, morning, day, evening shift, weekend and night

Position Type:
Permanent, Full-Time- 44 hours
$48,000 to $50,000 annually
