In this role, your challenges will include:

·         Responsibility for construction of our projects to a high quality standard

·         Maintenance of professional safety & behaviour standards on our projects

·         You must have the ability to read and build from drawings

·         Material planning and ordering – take offs

·         Performing quality control inspections

·         Planning daily activities necessary to implement construction activities

·         Completing scheduled work on budget and on time

·         Rough carpentry, finish carpentry, drywall, appliance installation fixture and hardware installation, door and window installation, shower installations

·         A basic understanding of plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins; tiling, hardwood and siding installations

·         Reporting to the lead carpenter, you will be responsible to complete tasks on your own to a high quality standard



·         College Diploma or certification in a recognized construction/carpentry course preferred

·         1 years + experience

·         Experience working on high-end residential homes and with customers who have high quality expectations is an asset

·         A complete working knowledge of residential construction is a must

·         Competent in the use of computer technology to assist in job site management (comfortable, confident and capable of using a cloud-based construction management software).

·         Good at problem solving and conflict resolution

·         Highly capable with ability to handle customers and other stakeholders with a confident dignity

·         Must be able to work in a team setting and individually with minimal supervision

·         Knowledge of building code and wood structures

·         Determine specifications and calculate requirements; Prepare layouts; Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood materials

·         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

·         Ability to estimate all materials for carpentry based on drawings; co-ordinate work on sites

·         Proven ability to record, prioritize, organize and follow through on all requests.

·         Excellent communication Skills

·         High attention to details.



·         Some work activities will occur after normal business hours i.e. evenings and weekends

Head office located 61 Bernick Rd, North York



Permanent, Full-Time

30-40 hours per week $29-$32 per hour depending on qualifications
