 Ethnic Channels Group Limited is a well-known as distribution of international television channels and production of video contents. We are currently looking for a diligent and experienced Cameraman / Video Editor (NOC 5222) on a permanent / full-time basis.

 

Position description (Main Duties)

  • Plan, organize and direct the artistic aspects of production
  • Determine positioning, intensity and colour temperature of lighting fixtures on set
  • Choose appropriate lenses, camera angles and backgrounds for TV projects as well as location filming
  • Implement wireless camera applications, such as multiple video/audio streaming and recording
  • Operate multi-camera setup using TriCaster switching system for chromakey cyclorama stage as well as practical studio set
  • Gather, sort and transcode media material for post-production
  • Create proxy material for 4K/UHD workflow
  • Edit single and multiple camera sources using non-linear editing platforms
  • Synchronies audio and video sources
  • Colour match and grade conformed video pieces based on director’s and producer’s visions
  • Maintain camera equipment in working condition, updating camera firmware
  • Consult and educate staffs and clients on technical solutions for the current projects

 

Requirements

  • Minimum college diploma in Digital Media/Film/Television fields
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a cameraman/video editor
  • Have good technical knowledge of digital processes in production and post-production environment
  • In-depth knowledge of lighting techniques for chromakey cyclorama, visual effects, practical set, documentary interviews and film
  • Experience with broadcasting and cinema equipment (cameras, lenses, filters, grip, dolly, gimbal, audio)
  • Working knowledge of unmanned aerial vehicle operation
  • Experience with North American broadcast standards (codecs, colour ranges, aspect ratios, frame rates, scans, audio levels
  • Complete understanding of colour theory and colour relationships
  • Solid experience with cinema colour profiles and ability to match colours and create cinematic looks 
  • Ability to use Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Blackmagic Davinci Resolve 
  • Ability to use TriCaster, Sound boards and DMX lighting controllers
  • Solid experience with NLE as well as linear video editing
  • Superior awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
  • Excellent problem solving skill with design and production
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to lead and motivate teams

 

Compensations and others

·         $ 30.00 per hour with 40  hours working per week

·         Two weeks of paid vacation

·         Work location: 120 Amber Street, Markham, ON L3R 3A3
